Hi I'm Nicky, the face behind Radiance Voyage
I am a mother of three, a wellness and life coach, and the founder of Radiance Voyage.
But before any title, before any work, before any calling
I was a little girl who learned very early that love had conditions.
Where it began
I was raised in an African home where worth was not spoken , it was performed.
You were valued for what you did.
How much you helped.
How well you behaved.
How little space you took.
Love was not something you rested in.
It was something you earned.
So I learned to try harder.
To give more.
To please.
To prove.
And without realizing it, I carried that belief into every area of my life.
When self-abandonment becomes normal
I became the woman who:
Overgave in relationships
Felt responsible for men’s struggles
Rushed to help before being asked
Tied love to sacrifice
Confused endurance with devotion
I abandoned myself quietly, so quietly it felt like virtue.
I did it in relationships.
I did it with money.
I did it in motherhood.
I did it at work.
For over 15 years, I worked in a high-stress customer service environment, absorbing other people’s emotions, carrying responsibility that wasn’t mine, burning out while telling myself I should be grateful.
I did everything “right.”
And still, something felt deeply wrong.
The body remembers what the mind explains away
As a young girl, I once stood in front of the mirror, dressed in my favorite outfit, pretending I was a princess.
No one told me I was beautiful.
I simply knew.
That knowing disappeared the moment I started listening to the noise.
I was told I was too skinny.
Then later, too big.
Too much.
Not enough.
I learned to see myself through other people’s eyes.
And when a woman loses her self-perception, she loses her center.
That loss followed me into adulthood into how I loved, how I mothered, how I moved through the world.
Becoming a mother intensified everything.
I woke up thinking about everyone else first.
I absorbed my children’s emotions.
I rushed to soothe, fix, rescue.
And slowly, I disappeared.
What broke my heart the most was recognizing pieces of myself in my daughter
that same uncertainty, that same quiet shrinking, that same question underneath it all:
Am I worthy just for being me?
That was the moment I knew the pattern had to end with me.
The turning point
My transformation did not come from doing more.
It came from remembering.
Remembering that my worth was not tied to what I gave.
Remembering that God was my source , not a man, not approval, not productivity.
Remembering that I was worthy because I existed.
As a daughter of the Most High.
When that truth settled into my body, everything changed.
Not overnight.
Not dramatically.
But permanently.
I stopped chasing.
I stopped overexplaining.
I stopped rescuing.
I softened.
And in that softness, I became grounded.
In that grounding, I became magnetic.
In that magnetism, life responded differently.
Why Radiance Voyage?
Radiance Voyage exists for women who were never taught how to stay with themselves.
For women who:
Learned to survive by self-abandonment
Confuse love with effort
Feel depleted but don’t know how to stop
Long to feel soft, calm, confident, and secure
Want to break generational patterns, not pass them on
This work is not about fixing women.
It’s about returning them to themselves.
To their bodies.
To their worth.
To their feminine intelligence.
To their God-given identity.
MY ROLE
I am not here to perform perfection.
I am here as a woman who has lived the pattern, recognized it, and learned how to interrupt it, gently, truthfully, and embodied.
I don’t teach women how to dominate.
I teach women how to inhabit themselves.
Because a woman who inhabits herself:
No longer chases
No longer overgives
No longer shrinks
No longer begs to be chosen
She becomes someone others respond to naturally.
